The Prosthetic Paradigm

About the Prosthetic Paradigm:

Prosthetic care is a ever changing field with learning at the center. The prosthetic paradigm podcast endeavors to further learning in the field of prosthetics, adaptive athletics, orthotics, limb loss, and more. Interviews with people who are pioneering techniques, technology, or training highlight and contribute the knowledge to further and facilitate knowledge in the field.

Why do the podcast?

In my search to learn more about what I do and hone my craft it became apparent that information regarding prosthetics is either incomplete or difficult to find.

Who should listen to the podcast?

Prosthetists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Orthotists, Physicians, Amputees, Family members, Coaches, anyone who may be intrigued, effected, or otherwise interested in prosthetics.

About the host:

Drew Nutter is a Certified and Licensed Prosthetist and Orthotist through the American Board for Certification. He holds multiple degrees which have contributed to his knowledge base including a B.S. in Exercise Physiology, MS in Exercise Science, MBA, and Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics

He also holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a certified USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach.

As a prosthetist I enjoy my part in the rehabilitation process, serving those with limb loss or those who have orthotic needs. There are few greater ways to serve others than by providing a practical means to restore independence to one's life.

Disclaimer:

This podcast is only to expose ideas, shed light on the stories, struggles, and celebrate successes of those who live with limb loss, and otherwise discuss the field of prosthetics. Not to ever provide advice on care in any aspect.
